Load banks

VETZ load banks with the unit power from 50kVA to 1000kVA with the option to unite unlimited number of units are designed to provide the tests and services load of the gen-sets and the necessary minimal level of the load during the gen-sets work. They are applicable for diesel and gas generating sets, for gas turbines, battery and rotating inertia UPS devices, as well as for telecommunication equipment, aircraft equipment and other devices with the external load requirements.

VETZ load banks provide the external load to all kinds of electrical equipment for variety of tasks with high accuracy and stability.

VETZ manufactures few different types of the load banks.

VETZ load banks of RN type with the reel wire resistors with the unit power of 25kVA, 50kVA, 100kVA (figure 1).

They meet the requirements for accuracy and stability of the load in interval +-5% in spite of the load duration, ambient temperature, humidity and other weather or environmental conditions.

The reel resistors in RN load banks are cooled by natural convection.

RN load banks could be installed in the rooms with regular fire protection and ventilation or on the open yards.

VETZ load banks of RNM type with the strips resistors of the special alloy with the unit power of 25kVA, 50kVA, 100kVA (figure 3).

They meet the requirements for accuracy and stability of the load in interval +-5% in spite of the load duration, ambient temperature, humidity and other weather or environmental conditions.

The strips resistors in RNMV load banks are cooled by enforced convection with the high pressure vent. The protection automatics of the RNMV load banks permits to load the units only after the vent achieves the necessary air torrent for the strip resistors cooling.

RNMV load banks could be installed in the rooms with regular fire protection and the ventilation channels connectable with the load banks ventilation or on the open yards.

VETZ auxiliary equipment for load banks is designed to ensure their simple and effective application in staff controlled and automatic controlled ways.

VETZ automatic fixed load switch boards for automatic fixed load connection to the generating equipment in case of the power consumers load lesser than the level necessary according the equipment requirements, and for the automatic load disconnection when the power consumers start to provide the necessary load (figure 7).

Automatic fixed load switch board

VETZ automatic load switch boards are designed for the application in the power generating – consuming systems with the load changing depending of the day time or the technological process.

For the application of VETZ automatic load switch boards it is necessary that the control boards of the power generators to be loaded have the load control function.

VETZ step by step load control boards are designed for step by step load connections to power generating equipment by operator on the board or with the remote control (figure 8).

Step by step load control board

First applications of VETZ step by step load control boards are the tests of gen-sets after the manufacturing or the installation and the test loads during the service.

VETZ automatic changable load switch boards designed for automatic load increase or decrease in case of the power consumers load fluctuation up and down from the level necessary according the equipment requirements (figure 9).
